For time magazine, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is the person of the year. Financial times, however, decided that in 2010, Apple CEO Steve jobs more worthy title was.
It’s hard to argue against FT’s logic: Apple had and a phenomenal year consecutive record quarters to a time when the United States is still in the resulting from a deep recession. Under the leadership of Steve jobs, Apple also managed to create a further breakthrough product: the iPad. Finally turned to the iPhone 4 start though first with antenna issues, tarnished as one of the most successful product launches in Apple history.
Financial times without prejudice to other possible candidates for the title “Person of the year”. “If Steven Paul jobs first the headlines he was younger even than Mark Zuckerberg now.” (…) Now, three decades on, he secured his place in the front ranks of the West Coast tech giants, so much the world around the turn of the Millennium design done. Longtime nemesis Bill Gates may be richer and at its peak, probably exercised greater sway, thanks its monopoly over the world PC software. But the Microsoft co-founder who left stage, his life and fortune to good works. Mr jobs is, who now holds in the spotlight, “explains FT.”
