Real time social media Tracker Trendrr rated the top three films at the box office weekend of December 23 to 27. Despite came third at the box office, TRON: legacy still almost to generate twice as many tweets as little Fockers or true grit.

Little Fockers grossed $ 30.8 million over the weekend and comprises of a total of five days of 45.1 million $. Critics favorite true grit took in a really impressive 24.9 million US dollars for the weekend – best ever brothers open that for a movie of the Coen – and a total of five days 36.8 million $. The 10-day domestic tally for TRON: Legacy is now on 88.3 million $20.1 million dollars from the holiday weekend.

TRON is still King, with an average of 1000 tweets per hour about the film on Twitter. Trendrr tells us that true grit and little Fockers hardly managed to accumulate 500 tweets per hour even on the opening night.

It is unclear what impact – if there is weather – have on film-related tweets but the cold is the negative impact on the box office. Number of Tweets page Trendrr sentiment analysis shows that it has negative tweets in the film to the lowest number. As predictably for a Western had twice as many Tweets of male users as female true grit. This figure puts box office 70 / 30 with parts for the film.
