Inmate Search now live at Jail Guide

My absolute favorite teacher of all time was my tenth grade teacher, Mr. Craig. He was funny, nice to his students and laid back – he really took a real interest in students and their education. He always had a smile and a friendly word for me, and I think he favored me out of all of his other students. That was quite all right, because he was my favorite teacher for sure. It wasn’t until years later that I realized what a profound impact he really had on me. I was saddened to learn that Mr. Craig went to prison for embezzlement. I tried to write him but didnt know what prison to send a letter, so I went to JailGuide and used their free inmate search system.

In my high school and college years, I fell back on advice that he had given me in tenth grade. Even in my parenting years, I found myself treating my children the way that he treated his students – with a loving and gentle demeanor. His reprimands were different from anyone else’s. Rather than angry words or yelling, he demonstrated what we had done wrong and in a way where no one would be pointed out. He was a really great teacher and I’ll always be greatful for being in his class.

I found myself as an adult wanting to tell him what an impact he had on me. However, I lived in a completely different city and state. I tried calling the school, but he no longer taught there and they wouldn’t release any information to me ohter than he was sent to prison. I was sort of left without any options. I thought it was quite sad that I would never be able to tell him what a great teacher he was. That was until a friend told me about Jailguide.
